Abstract
Renowned chef and Restaurateur Raymond Blanc is inviting West Cheshire College Apprentice students to take part in a masterclass at Le Manoir aux Quat' Saisons restaurant in London.
Blanc was so impressed with the Cheshire students who took part in his Chef Theatre at this year's Real Food Festival, that he has invited them to join him at his top restaurant in the capital. The students were invited to work at Real Food in the cookery workshops by event director Philip Lowery who explained: "These Young Apprentices from the West Cheshire College were having a fantastic experience at the Real Food Festival, but this invitation from Raymond Blanc has really blown them away." He added: "I think he is really inspirational for these young chefs." Phil Grey, project manager and Sara Challinor Young Apprentice co-ordinator, commented on the students' performance: "The students were a credit to the college working in a mature and professional way embracing the opportunity to work at this launch event." The students to be invited to Blanc's restaurant are Craig Lewis, Chris Richardson, Chloe Gibson, Matthew Rogers and Sarah Ireland. Three of these students are currently undertaking a Young Apprenticeship programme in Hospitality and Catering. The date for when the students will be attending Blanc's restaurant is to be confirmed.
