Teams from Bidvest Foodservice depots in Gateshead and Chepstow welcomed pupils from the Dallaglio Foundation’s RugbyWorks programme in June.
The purpose of pupils’ visits was to learn about the employment opportunities available within Bidvest Foodservice and inspire them to make positive life choices.
Mitchell Wyllis, a pupil at Tonypandy Community College who visited the Chepstow depot, said: “I enjoyed my day at Bidvest Foodservice – especially the experience of going into the freezer room and learning all about the different jobs available and the different products they sell.”
Former England Rugby Captain Lawrence Dallaglio set up the Dallaglio Foundation in 2009 with the goal of supporting disengaged young people to become more employable through the power of rugby.
