Bidvest 3663 signs £4.6m contract with health and care provider
Abstract
Bidvest 3663 has secured a contract with the Priory Group to supply food solutions to 198 of its health and care facilities in a two-year deal worth £4.6m.

Bidvest 3663 will supply grocery and frozen products to The Priory Group, which includes hospitals, Craegmore specialist education sites, and the Amore care homes throughout England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. This will enable Priory Group chefs and caterers to cook meals from scratch and deliver 24/7 food provision for their clients, students and residents with a range of special dietary needs.

Gwaine Cook, business development controller for the healthcare sector at Bidvest 3663 said: “We have a proven track record of working successfully with customers in the healthcare sector and aim to support our customers beyond just delivering their ingredients.

"Our specialists in the healthcare sector understand the challenges that chefs face in catering for a range of specific dietary requirements and they appreciate the fact that good food plays an important role in the wellbeing of residents and patients.  We intend to use this knowledge and experience to help the Priory Group deliver appetizing and nutritious meals that meet the needs of their clients and support them as their business develops.”

Gary Kinghan, group purchasing manager at Priory Group said: “High quality food provision is a vital part of our service to patients and residents and Bidvest 3663’s extensive product range and expertise in the sector means it is best placed to help us achieve this. We look forward to the results of this appointment.”

Bidvest 3663’s contract to supply the Priory Group’s establishments began in January 2015 and will run for two years, with an option to extend for a further year.
