The move follows in-depth research undertaken by the foodservice provider into what its customers look for when buying meat products. It found that freshness, quality and provenance were high priorities for foodservice operators across a variety of sectors, and having quick and easy access to on trend products was key.
Bidvest 3663 is showcasing 23 fresh beef, chicken, lamb, turkey, gammon and pork products from its wider fresh meat range. These have been handpicked by the foodservice provider’s specialist meat suppliers to suit different price points and help customers to keep their menus relevant.
Damian Storie, head of fresh meat at Bidvest 3663 said: “We have a passion for great food and have sourced products from top suppliers to give customers the best choice of quality, fresh meat products that cover all eating occasions – with full traceability for a service that’s comparable to a local butcher.
“We know how important food provenance is for consumers when eating out of home, and being able to prepare dishes using quality assured, British ingredients – and reference these on menus – can help outlets boost sales or charge a premium. As such, we can trace the origin of everything in our fresh meat range so customers can be confident in the sourcing of all our meat.”
