Hospitality provider Bennett Hay has launched a guide to ‘enabling positive experiences’ to coincide with World Facilities Management (FM) Day, today (16 May).

Aimed at industry professionals, the guide offers advice on five key areas, including insight from executive chef, Alistair Day, on food design for wellbeing and community to enable positive experiences.

Claiming: “A healthy mind requires a healthy body and that begins with nutritional food and drinks,” Day added: “That doesn’t necessarily mean cutting out anything with even the slightest bit of fat or sugar, but rather providing options and information so that employees and guests can make informed choices that work for them.

“As well as a dietary understanding, it’s also important to have a strong awareness of the provenance and sourcing of food and drink so that you can guarantee the produce is of high quality, and that it is both sustainable and ethical.”

Bennett Hay owner director, Anthony Bennett, added: “Working in a people-centric industry means we would be nothing without the dedication and expertise of our team.

“As such, we wanted to champion their work and share some of their unique insights with the wider facilities management industry, and what better opportunity than on World FM Day.

“The guide aims to share practical advice with people from across the industry, while providing points of thought around what the sector could be doing differently to better enable positive experiences for guests, clients and employees alike.”

It also covers people, service design, partnerships and guest service - explaining how each topic fits into the company’s wider objective of ‘enabling positive experiences.’
