Beechdown Ice Cream Group acquires Enjays Pancales
Abstract
Leading ice cream manufacturer Beechdean Ice Cream Group has acquired Leeds-based Enjays Pancakes, one of the UK’s leading manufacturers of crepes, pancakes, blinis and waffles.

Beechdean, which produces more than 150 million portions of ice cream a year from its two BRC AA grade factories in the Chiltern Hills and in Chester, started with Beechdean Farmhouse dairy ice cream made using milk from the 400-strong herd of Jersey cows on the farm, and has since gone on to acquire other ice cream brands.

These include Loseley and Granelis, as well as its link up with key licensing partners such as Nickelodeon and most recently Paul Hollywood. Beechdean has also just bought a 50% share of Lovington’s to grow its presence in the South West.

Beechdean has a strong connection with the out of home channel as suppliers to the Royal Albert Hall and many other well known attractions, while retail is also a focus, with a rebrand and new products launching in 2017.
