BCF names Young Chef of the Year finalists

Abstract
The British Culinary Foundation (BCF) has announced its 2018 Young Chef of the Year finalists, set to take place 5 November at University College Birmingham.

Divided into two heats, each chef will have two hours to produce their three-course meal, which must include a vegetarian starter and highlight British produce throughout.

 

This year’s finalists are as below:

  • Callum Wood - North Warwickshire and Hinckley College
  • Louis O’Hara - Cliveden House
  • Amrita Phull - Buckland Manor
  • Jacob Major - The Manor House Hotel and Golf Club
  • Ben Cowley - Simpson’s restaurant
  • Megan ConnorThe Red Lion
  • Harvey Perttola Swinfen Hall
  • Adam Shohet - Portland Restaurant
  • Monty Stonehewer - Hampton Manor
  • Theo Hadjitofi - De Banke Group
  • Matthew Nicholls - Cheal’s of Henley
  • Rhys McCausland - Houses of Parliament
  • James Prout - The Wild Rabbit
  • Sam King - The Ritz
  • Fraser Cooper - Devonshire Arms Country House Hotel
  • Katie Cooper - Carter’s of Moseley
  • Enrique Diez - The Frog at Hoxton

Following the cook off, BCF will announce the 2018 winner at a dinner and awards evening.
