BaxterStorey’s operations manager Allison Miller, executive chef Chris Bryden and chef manager Frank Alcorn collected the award on the team’s behalf.
Miller commented: “We thoroughly enjoy being part of City of Glasgow College’s family, providing fresh, nutritious and delicious dining experiences to its staff and visitors all-year round.
“We stepped up our efforts to support the College with delivering an ambitious programme for the 2021 Climate Change Conference, and we are delighted to be recognised with this award.”
In addition to the award Miller received a personalised leather portfolio whilst the chefs were given tartan embroidered ties and chefs hats as congratulations.
Paul Little, principal and chief executive, City of Glasgow College, added: “I was delighted to personally congratulate Allison, Chris and Frank from BaxterStorey at our annual graduation ceremony. Our commendation awards rightly recognise those individuals or teams who have gone above and beyond in order to help others, or to provide excellent service.
“Our College held some 100 events throughout the two weeks of COP26, and BaxterStorey did indeed go above and beyond to provide five star cuisine and presentation for guests attending the numerous VIP dinners. The BaxterStorey team richly deserve this award and our congratulations.”
