Abstract
Foodservice provider BaxterStorey this week launched a dedicated training centre for its coffee-loving academicians.

Since its inception in 2009, the academy has trained over 300 employees a year on average in the coffee service.

To meet increasing demand for training, BaxterStorey has created a devoted training space at its London office, which includes eight teaching stations, hand-built espresso machines, brewing equipment and a reverse osmosis water-filtration system.

With all baristas Speciality Coffee Association-qualified, the new centre joins the company’s learning and development initiatives, the Chef Academy and the recently launched Service Academy.

Co-chief executive, Noel Mahony, said: “BaxterStorey’s passion for coffee and training has not only spearheaded great quality coffee offers to clients, but has also placed our baristas in the highest tier of coffee specialists within the UK.”
