Abstract
Independent hospitality food service provider BaxterStorey has launched Hapi, a wellbeing and engagement app designed to support its UK-wide workforce.

The app, which was piloted during the Covid-19 pandemic to provide better support to team members, aims to improve employee wellbeing and encourage better mental health. Hapi will also offer people access to payroll, training resources and BaxterStorey suppliers.

A recent BaxterStorey survey found 94% of respondents reported their general health was good, while 47% shared that connecting with others was important to them.

Maureen Sandbach, people director at BaxterStorey said: “It has always been important to me and the business that the teams throughout the country have access to the same resources and insights so, whether you’re in Aberdeen, Newcastle, Bristol, Cambridge or London, we are keen to have a platform to instantly share sometimes vital information and support on wellbeing, development, and other business-critical issues.

“We’ve always had a thorough communications process and see Hapi as the next step in enhancing our employee engagement activity. The functionality on the app means messages can be sent straight to all team members, making it even more agile than before.”
