The new role will see Lizzie Hennig working with BaxterStorey chefs, front-of-house colleagues and operations to ensure they have the latest nutritional data-led information to deliver food excellence to customers across the country.
Commenting on her appointment she said: “My focus will be to work closely with our food development team to create exciting new menus, food concepts and practices in response to legislations and our clients’ growing appetite for fresh, locally-sourced and more plant-based and sustainable produce.
“Ultimately, my work will help to ensure that we’re providing people across all our locations with food choices that are wholesome, balanced, and nutritious and best support their wellbeing in their workplace – whether that’s in the office, at a warehouse or within education.”
BaxterStorey provides bespoke hospitality services through restaurants, café bars, deli operations and executive dining rooms for a range of customers. Hennig will also deliver internal training, consult on recipe development as well as providing advice on nutrition and health legislation.
Ronan Harte, chief executive for BaxterStorey, added: “As we welcome more customers back, we have taken the opportunity to make some positive changes to redefine our services and adapt to our customers’ changing needs.
“It is also important that our focus remains on successfully navigating new and significant legislations, such as Natasha’s Law and the upcoming calorie labelling.
“This new role enables us to deliver a holistic approach to food and I am excited to have Lizzie join BaxterStorey and work collaboratively alongside the rest of our team to continue providing nutritious and delicious dining experiences for our clients.”
