Its ‘Food to Go’ range, which includes sandwiches, wraps, salads, snacks and desserts, is currently being rolled out across the company’s cafes, delis and restaurants.
Bartlett Mitchell, the first contract caterer to achieve the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) three-star status, has added 80 recipes to its offering, all of which have been packaged in 100% recyclable plastics and cardboard.
The new range includes buckwheat, edamame beans, baby spinach and sweet potato with tomato and cucumber salad, beetroot, almond and cranberry bircher muesli, and linseed roasted salmon with free range egg, courgette and baba ganoush wholemeal wrap.
Vegetarian, vegan and gluten and dairy-free options have been included.
The company says its selection will be changed quarterly to reflect seasonal events and current trends.
Lin Dickens, Bartlett Mitchell marketing director, said: “The popularity of grab and go continues to increase but we know that customers are concerned by the amount of waste their packaging creates.
“Sustainability is extremely high on our agenda too, and in developing this range we were committed to reducing the environmental impact of grab and go. Our solution was to invest in bespoke packaging that can be thrown in the recycling bin.
“We haven’t compromised on taste and have a wide selection of fresh lunchtime options that have been shown to rate better with consumers than equivalents from the high street. We plan to update the range regularly to provide customers with greater choice and flexibility in their lunchtime choices.”
Established in 2000, Bartlett Mitchell caters at 85 locations across London and the south east of England across the business, education and healthcare sectors.
