The Christmas fundraising campaign in aid of the company’s charity partner Mary’s Meals is expected to raise £10,000, which is equivalent to 100,000 school meals.
The festive range includes Turkey Feast, Brie & Cranberry; Vegan Festive Feast sandwiches; a Triple Cheese & Fig Panini and Pigs Under Blankets Brioche. The fundraising campaign runs until 4th January 2025.
Gareth Chambers, chief executive of Around Noon, said: “We have worked with Mary’s Meals for several years now and in that time the generosity of our colleagues, friends and family, and the wider community has been really moving.
“They have donated their time, their money, and have always brought boundless enthusiasm to every fundraiser. This year, over the holiday period, we’re very excited to take this partnership national to raise vital funds that offer a lifeline for the hungry and support children into education.”
Mary’s Meals, which was founded in 2002, feeds over 2.4 million children every school day. Mary’s Meals works in 16 countries, reaching some of the poorest and most challenging parts of the world. It costs £19.15 to feed a child for a whole school year.
Last year Around Noon raised over £10,000 for Mary’s Meals which was matched by the charity’s Double The Love Campaign, resulting in the charity receiving £20,000.
Marie Doyle, interim executive director of Mary’s Meals, added: “We are so delighted to be supported by Around Noon and very excited about the new range of snacks that will help to feed children around the world.
“There’s a perfect link between buying a lunchtime treat and knowing that as a result, a hungry child will get a good meal in school today. Thank you to everyone at Around Noon for their incredible efforts to support Mary’s Meals.”
