The panel includes:
- Helen Milligan-Smith, managing director, Aramark UK
- Kate Nicholls OBE, chief executive, UKHospitality
- Zoe Bowley, managing director UK & Ireland, Pizza Express
- Sally Beck, general manager, Royal Lancaster London Hotel
- Joanna Aunon, director, Women in Hospitality, Travel and Leisure (WiHTL)
After a drinks and canape reception, Nicholls will address the audience and provide an update on the key issues affecting the industry and explain how she is working with the government to alleviate some of the issues.
Attendees will then enjoy a three course lunch with wine after which all the panel will take to the stage to take part in a ‘powerful, insightful and thought-provoking’ discussion. Some of the topics that will be discussed include the challenges & opportunities of working within the foodservice sector, diversity & inclusion, their career journeys and building relationships.
Given that this event features an all-female panel and takes place one week before International Women’s Day - a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women – the discussion will also look at:-
* What advice would our panel give to women starting out on a career in hospitality
* Barriers they may have come across and how did they overcome them
* How can we as an industry collaborate to help women progress
* How can we get more women onto boards
* Why do you feel boards are not 50:50 men and women
