Just after the event she tweeted: Had the honour of presenting The RP Global Sustainability Award to Aramark at @BeyondSport awards. 0% waste to landfill #incredible.
At the event, Lord Coe said: “London 2012 gave this country a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to boost sport’s place as the unseen social worker.
“As we focus on securing a strong legacy and look to the future it is important that those programmes and projects which have successfully capitalised on the opportunity are rewarded, and that the UK does not lose sight of the future opportunities in this area. That is why awards such as these, that show the strong legacy that is in place, are so important.”
The awards are managed by Beyond Sport, a global organisation which develops and supports to use of sport to support social change.
