Aramark Northern Europe launches Plant Market
Abstract
Catering and services company Aramark Northern Europe has launched Plant Market, its new plant-forward offering designed by chef Paul Gayler.

Plant-based eating is growing trend, research shows 79% of Generation Z are ‘eager to go meatless’ and vegan dishes saw a growth of 237% in 2018.

Aramark is aiming to promote this offering at all of its client sites throughout the UK and Ireland, including in the public sector.

Plant Market places a strong emphasis on vegetables, fruits, whole grains and legumes while still offering a small quantity of animal protein to maximise both flavour and nutritional value.

Gayler, said: “Plant-based eating continues to go from strength to strength across the globe and consumers are now more health-conscious than ever before, with vegan and vegetarian options seeing massive growth. So, I am extremely excited to launch this concept alongside the talented Aramark culinary team.”

Plant Market comes as part of Aramark’s drive to ensure its menu choices meet evolving consumer lifestyle and dietary preferences.

Paul Bloxham, culinary director at Aramark Northern Europe, added: “Plant Market uses only the finest and freshest seasonal ingredients, which we source locally wherever we possibly can. But we have also handpicked the most flavoursome food from around the globe to ensure this menu is the most delicious plant-based choice on the market.”

“While Plant Market was created to cater to the needs of the plant-forward consumer, it was also our goal to deliver options that simultaneously appealed to meat-eaters. We wanted to bring to the table a sustainable offering for the conscientious consumer who, above all, prioritises great taste!”
