Abstract
The Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) has announced details about its upcoming Facilities, Catering and Cleaning Management Seminar, which will take place 24-25 January in Nottingham.
Held at the Nottingham Belfry, the annual event – ‘Raising the game: adapting in changing times’ - will address issues facing service providers and give delegates the chance to ‘refresh their knowledge, learn new skills and give practical advice’ on implementing new ideas in the workplace.
Confirmed key note speakers include:
- APSE chief executive, Paul O’Brien: ‘Challenges and opportunities in FM, catering and cleaning’
- Simon Bishop, commercial development chef for Cityserve (Birmingham City Council): ‘Going vegan’
- Michael Nelson, former professor of Public Health Nutrition at King’s College London: ‘The impact of Brexit on school food’
Other topics to be discussed range from ‘reducing sickness in frontline staff’ to ‘improving workforce efficiency with technology’.
Workshops will Meanwhile take place across the two days, such as reducing childhood obesity and FM and building cleaning service models.
