The BNF’s Healthy Eating Week, taking place from June 12th to 16th, will see schools, universities and workplaces focus on building knowledge on healthy eating and wellbeing, being active and cooking.
Roy Ballam, managing director and head of education at the BNF, said: “Positive behaviour change will only be sustained if children, themselves, are motivated to lead healthier lifestyles.
“We need to equip them with the knowledge and skills to make better choices and, what better way to do this than by giving them the tools and motivation to work together and encourage each other to take ownership of their health.”
The BNF will encourage school children to take ownership of their health by becoming BNF Healthy Eating Week ambassadors in keeping with the 2017 ‘applied learning’ theme. Ambassador packs will include badges and job adverts to encourage applications for ambassador roles.
