Hargreaves joined Apetito in 2012 with a ‘passion to make a real difference’ to mealtimes. Throughout his time at the business, he has held senior positions within its care homes division across training and operations, account management, new business development and national account partnerships.
His appointment sees him lead a team that maintains and develops new relationships with NHS Trusts as well as overseeing the company’s training and operations team that adds value to its healthcare customers day-to-day.
Commenting on his appointment, Hargreaves said: “This is a pivotal time in hospital catering as the NHS moves towards its commitment to be net zero by 2040.
“We’re proud to be working closely with our customers to support this journey of continued innovation such as our world-leading closed-loop recycling system for meal trays and pioneering reduced carbon menus. I very much look forward to continuing working with the sector and building on all the relationships I have developed in recent years, working together towards excellence in hospital catering."
