A spokesman said the decision to continue with plans for the awareness-raising week had been taken ‘as people with severe allergies need support now more than ever’.
The Campaign will be welcoming its new Youth Ambassador on April 27, who will formally launch the awareness week on May 4th.
Activities planned include creating an orange wig to support the charity’s trademark ‘Orange Wig Week’, and then posting a photograph to social media during the week using the hashtag #AnaphlaxisAwareness.
Another option for those who are able to undertake daily exercise, is to record the distance covered as a family during the month of May, aiming to achieve the 26-mile marathon distance and asking friends and family to donate.
The Campaign is also asking people with allergies to video a short clip of themselves finishing the statement ‘Living with allergies has helped me to…’ with the hashtag #AnaphylaxisAwareness.
