Ampersand catering services is about to unveil its Café at the Museum at the British Golf Museum in St Andrews as the golf world’s attention turns to the Open Championship this month.

With 78 covers indoors and a further 60 al fresco on an adjoining terrace, Ampersand’s menu celebrates Scottish cuisine and takes its inspiration from regional produce.

Angela Howe, director of the British Golf Museum, said: “The café extension marks a new chapter in the museum’s history.

“The Café at the Museum perfectly reflects our vision for the future of the museum and the menu is wonderful.

“We are particularly proud of all the Scottish produce we have been able to include. Do come and try it!”

Ampersand managing director Paul Jackson, said: “This is the moment we have waited for. The Open is the most prestigious event in golf and the R&A is the home of the sport, so to be opening The Café at the Museum and serving diners who visit us is a privilege.”

The remodeled British Golf Museum, including the new café, sits alongside and provides commanding views of The Royal and Ancient Clubhouse, the 1st tee of the Old Course and a panorama of the West Sands beach.

Ampersand is owned by CH&Co and offers catering services for iconic British establishments including Hampton Court Palace, ZSL London Zoo and The Guildhall.
