Abstract
Ampersand - which offers catering and service for some of the most famous venues in Britain – has appointed Tineke O’Brien as sales & marketing manager at the Old Royal Naval College (ORNC).

This follows Ampersand’s recent appointment to handle visitor catering, conference and events services at the venue - and the business has attracted a high flyer from the London restaurant and bar scene to fill the role.

O’Brien brings a wealth of experience from her previous roles including group sales and marketing manager at The Kornicis Group - whose portfolio includes Smollenskys, Henry J Bean’s, and Jamies; The Searcys Group; and Seasoned Events.

In her new role she will promote ORNC using a combination of techniques that include: client networking; creating business development plans; and running social media campaigns.

Ampersand’s Paul Jackson said: “Tineke has great experience in the Events Industry and The City, with an understanding of the need for the accurate coordination of all social gatherings and events. She is also proof-positive that we make significant commitments to our clients.”

O’Brien added: “As a part-time history and archaeologystudent this is my dream job. I am honoured to be treading in the footsteps of 300 years’ of tradition and in playing my part to help ORNC consolidate its position as one of the most iconic venues in the country. I plan to bring my experience of the London events world to this role.”
