The contract will be run by Amadeus’ General Manager Samantha Bates and her team, and Sales Executive Lucy Wheate will head up the team to grow events at the venue. Amadeus will be responsible for event sales predominantly for the Tapestry Suite, which has been newly created to provide facilities for corporate events, weddings, meetings and presentations. A purpose built bar provides space for reception drinks, informal meetings and break out space.
In addition Amadeus will assist with the delivery of food and beverage services to areas that are sold by the House including: The Great Hall and the Colonnade licensed for weddings and outside areas including the formal west lawns, gardens and courtyards
Kevin Watson, Managing Director for Amadeus says: “I am delighted that Amadeus has been awarded the contract at Boughton House. The venue fits perfectly within our portfolio of heritage sites and our delivery of 300% growth on events at Stoneleigh Abbey helped to secure the win, as well as our proven ability to deliver great food and service using locally sourced ingredients and staff.
“As a team we have a great opportunity to grow Boughton House and potentially look for other opportunities within Buccleuch who manage this property, as well as other historic venues in Scotland. We are really looking forward to working with Boughton House.”
Rachael Gladstone-Brown, Estate Manager at Boughton said: “Boughton House is one of the last truly great houses in the UK to open up to use by the public. As one of the nation’s best-kept secrets we are pleased to be bringing our unique events offering to a larger audience.
“This wonderful Estate deserves to be enjoyed and we are confident we have found the right partner in Amadeus to help us achieve this, while preserving the integrity of this magnificent historic house and private home.”
