Abstract
Contractor Amadeus is creating more than 1,000 jobs to help cater for a number of high profile events such as the London 2012 Olympics and the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show.
The roles are a mixture of permanent and temporary positions across the Midlands, Scotland and Surrey and include a number of senior management appointments.
For example, a three-year contract to cater for the RHS Hampton Court Palace Flower Show will see the creation of around 150 roles per season, plus senior management roles, while the Barclays Scottish Open Golf Championships at Castle Stuart, Inverness, in July will create around 100 seasonal positions.
Alyson Cawley, managing director of Amadeus, said: "It is a very testing time for thousands of people who are currently seeking job opportunities and we are pleased to be creating new roles as the growth in the number of UK vacancies has slowed.
"Our recent success securing major new clients has created this growth and we look forward to sustaining this as our business continues to grow. It is a testament to the hard work of our existing team and the high quality product we provide."
