Abstract
Education catering contractors Alliance in Partnership (AiP) has been awarded top marks once again for its cleanliness and condition at the Bablake Junior School and King Henry VIII School.
The reports, carried out by Coventry City Council Food Safety Team at the end of September, are compliant with the Food Hygiene (England) Regulations 2006 and Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. AiP has been awarded top marks of three stars for 'Confidence in Management,' 'Compliance of Food Hygiene and Safety,' and 'Compliance in Structure' for cleanliness and condition. The only minor downfall was a couple of rickety kitchen cupboard doors. David Weller, managing director of AiP, said: "We like to nip any glitches in the bud immediately. Part of our commitment to the schools we partner with is to improve facilities and procedures wherever possible, from a kitchen cupboard to a brand new kitchen install." The two contracts were part of a larger five contract deal with the Coventry School Foundation, won earlier in the year that commenced September 2010, for a minimum term of three years. AiP now has a portfolio of 140 contracts across the UK and a 70% turnover growth over the last three years. Business objectives are to secure 15-20 further new contracts over the next 12 months.
