AiP has held the gold standard for both its primary and secondary schools in the Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea for the last four years. It has now upgraded its feeder schools from silver to gold.
Paul Rogers, managing director of AiP, said: “Securing a gold Food for Life Catering Mark is a major coup for AiP and is testimony to the commitment we have to delivering the highest quality school meals and encouraging a ‘whole school’ approach to food.
“The focus on quality has been very much on the primary sector in recent months with the introduction of UIFSM, so we are particularly pleased to have secured gold at secondary level, where appealing to older children can be more challenging.”
The Soil Association’s Food for Life Catering Mark provides an independent endorsement that food providers are taking steps to improve the food they serve, using fresh ingredients which are free from trans-fats, harmful additives and GM, and better for animal welfare.
