The specialist ICT School for 11-16 year olds educates around 1050 pupils and has worked with AiP for over 10 years. The new contract, worth £500,000 will benefit from a new biometric cashless system install. The incorporation of online payment software ParentPay into the National Retail Systems equipment will allow parents to pay, review and manage their money and options for their child's meals at home. David Weller, managing director for AiP explained: "The biometric finger print recognition software identifies individual pupils and any special dietary requirements with the ability to eliminate food allergy ingredients immediately." AiP has installed over 25 cashless systems in schools to date which provide invaluable data for cost strategies, food waste and profit opportunities. Principal Sean Devlin is looking forward to the more efficient and quicker turnaround that will come about as a result of the new system: “It will enable students to be even more involved in lunch time activities.”
