The afternoon tea experience started on Friday 5th July 2024 and will take place on alternate Fridays. The afternoon tea is priced at £37.5p per person and will be prepared and served by The Clink Charity students.
The Clink Bakery, which operates from the same location as The Clink Restaurant within HMP Brixton, has created a new menu featuring all the classics including sandwiches, scones and pastries.
A spokesperson for The Clink Charity said: “All of The Clink Charity’s bread, cakes and baked products are produced fresh, on site, by our bakery team and students in training.
“The patisserie items have been designed to incorporate what our students are learning in their NVQ Level 2 in Patisserie and Confectionery qualifications. Visitors to The Clink can be assured that they are taking part in something unique, while helping someone rebuild their life at the same time.”
