Abstract
The British barbeque season is in full swing so Baker Street polled 2,000 Brits about what ‘gets their grills fired up’ to discover the number of items they consume over a lifetime.

Adults will get through 970 burgers, 794 hot dogs and 838 kebabs in their lifetime as they enjoy 441 barbeques on average. Over the course of a lifetime individuals consume up to 750 ribs, 882 chicken pieces and 705 pork chops.

When it comes to sides, 838 portions of potato salad will be enjoyed alongside 794 corn-on-the-cobs and 838 servings of crisps. Almost a third of those surveyed admitted they feel guilty of buying too much food for their barbeque.

As a guest, 49% take along alcohol, while 20% arrive with baked goods and 16% provide dips. Only 17% prefer hosting barbeques with 62% opting instead, to attend such events. To read the full survey results, visit here.
