It was the first ACE Charity Dinner to take place since 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic. The PM Trust aims to make hospitality the career of choice for young people.
A raffle and auction was held to raise funds for the hospitality charity. Prizes included afternoon tea at Kensington Palace donated by CH&Co, a tasting menu for two at The Loch & The Tyne donated by Adam Handling and a bottle of Le Gavroche Gin.
Guests enjoyed a menu of:
- Starter: cauliflower, lime gel, coconut purée, ginger crisp, toasted seeds
- Main course: Pistachio-crusted English lamb, pressed belly, ‘Cannelloni’ of foraged mushrooms, winter truffle, pine nut purée, roast pepper gel, heritage carrot & potato terrine, and minted lamb jus.
- Dessert: ‘Sideways’ orange & saffron tart, pickled end-of-season blackberries, white chocolate and meringue
Chair of ACE, Sarah Prentice said: “It was fantastic to bring together a room full of caterers to our charity event once again. Everyone was extremely generous because we have chosen to help such an important charity that invests directly back into our industry.
“The work of The PM Trust has never been more important as they aim to showcase what a wonderful industry this is to work in and support workers to fulfil their careers in it. Thank you to all our amazing sponsors, as without their support we wouldn’t have been able to raise this amount of money.
“And, to Graysons who created some stunning food. Plans are already underway for our next networking events in the spring which include our International Women’s Day lunch and the popular ACE Quiz.”
