Abstract
The Association of Catering Excellence (ACE) is to hold its annual Ready Steady Cook competition this evening (20 September) from 5-9pm at Canary Wharf (London).

Designed to give foodservice chefs the chance to ‘show off their skills,’ the event will see entrants battle it out to produce a main course and dessert in front of the live audience.

Former National Chef of the Year winner and ACE’s newest chef patron, Ruth Hansom, will also be there as part of this year’s judging panel.

She said: “I’m really looking forward to getting involved with Ready Steady Cook.

“I’m hoping younger judges will help put some of the younger contestants at ease. It can be quite daunting being judged by experienced, senior chefs - especially if you’re testing out modern interpretations and new flavour combinations.”

As well as a street food buffet and sponsor and supplier stands to browse, attendees will also have the chance to network with fellow industry colleagues.
