Abstract
ABM Catering Limited has this week announced that it has retained two International Standards accreditations, after a successful audit last month (June).

Having upgraded its 2008 accreditations to the ‘most up-to-date’ 2015 versions, the company has retained both its ISO: 9001 – Quality Management and ISO: 14001 – Environmental Management.

Each require businesses to “analyse and assess any risks or opportunities for improvements within their business” – the former aimed at ensuring businesses are legally compliant and have appropriate policies and procedures in place, the latter in assisting organisations to manage their environmental footprint and reducing their impact on the environment.

Targeting a ‘holistic, risk-based approach,’ the new version of the standards also comply with ‘how the company manages its business, with health and safety manager, Clare Hanna commenting: “I am delighted that our hard work into the application of the new ISO 9001: and 14001 standards throughout ABM have been recognised by our auditors, The British Assessment Bureau.

“It is my responsibility to manage the systems internally and raise any issues or concerns to the senior management team here at ABM Catering.

“The senior management team have embraced the new standards with a renewed vigour and commitment, and we have made conscious efforts to implement the standards throughout each area of the business.”
