Abstract
A survey from job board CV Library has found that 86.4% of hospitality professionals would rather join a company that offered a ‘returnship’ programme, which helps who have taken a career break get back into corporate work.

In the survey of 1,200 professionals, CV Library found 77.3% agreed it is difficult to get back into the corporate world after a career break and 58.15% didn’t believe enough was being done to help people return to work.

Lee Biggins, founder and managing director of CV Library, said: “With one in four hospitality professionals admitting to taking a career break, it’s clear that this is not uncommon, especially amongst those who have children or a family to take care of.

“With this in mind, more needs to be done to help these professionals return to work after their break.”

“That said, it’s great to see that returnships are on the rise, and with the majority saying they’d be more inclined to work for a company which offers them, it’s obvious that this is something workers appreciate.”
