Facilities management service provider 14forty, which is part of Compass Group UK & Ireland, has scooped an industry accolade at the IWFM Impact Awards.

Judges were impressed with how the company has ‘transformed’ its food offer by putting wellbeing at the heart of its restaurant menus, using plant-based dishes to improve employee nutrition alongside a range of initiatives to support colleagues health.

The launch of Plantilicious, an entirely plant-based menu, in early 2021 proved to be a ‘huge success’ with consumers successfully ‘nudged’ into shifting their food choices through education, presentation and tasty recipes.

14forty also introduced eco-labelling on each dish to encourage people to make more informed decisions based on the recipes’ carbon impact on the planet.

Mauro Ortelli, managing director of 14forty, said: “So much hard work at all levels has gone into ensuring our food offer helps nudge our clients’ teams into healthier, more sustainable, eating habits. Happy, healthy teams have a positive impact on every business, and their choices can positively impact the planet too.
