Nadim and Tanya Ednan-Laperouse lost their 15-year-old daughter Natasha following an allergic reaction to eating sesame seeds baked into the dough of a baguette.
They have since set up NARF (Natasha Allergy Research Foundation) to help people who suffer with food allergies.
NARF aims to bring about positive change by focusing on medical research, law and policies to raise allergy awareness. Tanya and Nadim received the 2022 Industry Recognition Award at the Public Sector Catering Awards for their work in raising awareness of food allergies.
They have spoken at the LACA Main Event, twice, the Hospital Caterers Association (HCA) forum and The University Caterers Organisation (TUCO) conference to discuss the next steps in creating a world that is ‘safe for all allergy sufferers, everywhere’.
