WKC student wins top culinary competition

Abstract
Westminster Kingsway College student, Selin Kiazim, has been awarded the top prize in the NZ-UK Link Foundation Culinary Challenge UK 2007, organised in association with the Craft Guild of Chefs, at a ceremony held at New Zealand in Central London.
Kiazim was awarded an all expenses paid working trip to New Zealand to work and learn for up to three weeks in top restaurants around the country, with a further week to see New Zealand's attractions. The winning student was awarded her prize by the New Zealand High Commissioner in the UK, the Rt Hon Jonathan Hunt and Nick Vardis from the Craft Guild of Chefs. The finals were held in the live competition theatre at The Restaurant Show where the eight competitors battled it out to produce a three course meal using New Zealand produce.
