Wells Farm Dairy wins school milk contract

19th Sep 2008 - 00:00
Abstract
Wells Farm Dairy in Staffordshire has been awarded a contract to supply fresh milk to around 400 Staffordshire schools and other council establishments.
The three-year contract, which is said to be worth up to £820,000, equates to 1.1 million litres of milk supplied to schools across the county. Wells Farm sources milk from local farms around Staffordshire. This is then distributed to schools across the county. Peter Beresford, cabinet member for children and young people, commented on the contract: "Now we can ensure that the milk supplied in our schools is the very best in local produce. Not only are we benefiting local business, we are also helping to promote a healthy lifestyle for our youngsters."
