Abstract
Top London hotels including The Goring, The Savoy and The Royal Garden will be competing against each other at 10am on Thursday (1 November) in a comical trolley race to win the Springboard Slingsby Trolley Challenge Cup.
Teams of staff will be piled high on Slingsby trolleys where they will race around Vincent Square to support kids who will be the future hoteliers.
The trolley parade will be grouped in teams including The Flintstones, The Stars and The Churchilians. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated trolley and team, for the best trolley navigating skills, and for style, courtesy and charm.
Other teams to participate from the hospitality industry include The Churchill; Como Hotels & Resorts, Aramark (contract caterers), Westminster Kingsway College, and The Metropolitan Hotel.
The event is held in aid of The Springboard Charitable Trust, the lone charity in supporting young and disadvantaged people to improve their prospects by training them in a career in hospitality.
