Abstract
Hospitality charity Springboard has announced it has made great strides in their equality, diversity and inclusion (EDI) strategy over the past year.
The dedicated EDI strategy group is committed to fostering a more inclusive and equitable environment for their team and beneficiaries. Springboard recognises the importance of monitoring progress, celebrating successes and acknowledging areas where they can continue to grow.
Highlights of Springboard’s activity includes:
- International Women’s Day: Celebrated Springboard’s inspirational female colleagues.
- Pride Month: Hosted a panel discussion featuring three LGBTQIA+ hospitality ambassadors, drawing good feedback.
- Pronouns Awareness Session: This session aimed to raise awareness about validating identities and creating a comfortable environment for discussions around this topic.
- National Inclusion Week: The EDI team underwent external training on various inclusion topics and welcomed specialists to share insights on inclusion and best practices.
- International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination: The head of employability conducted a training session on race awareness and being anti-racist.
