Abstract
Kalyx, Sodexo's prison business in the UK, has been re-named and is now called Sodexo Justice Services.
The change in name will give Sodexo a single brand identity and a growing presence in justice services globally. In addition, Sodexo's prison operations in France and Chile are changing their name from Siges to Sodexo Justice Services.
Sodexo currently operates four prisons in the UK and runs justice services at over 110 prisons across the world. The company has made a formal long-term commitment to growing these justice services across many parts of the world.
Sodexo has been running rehabilitation services since 1993 and employs 2,000 people in the UK.
Aidan Connolly, chief executive, Sodexo UK & Ireland, said: "We are simply re-naming Kalyx and the business will remain unchanged in both culture and operation. We are proud of Kalyx and the values that it stands for fit well with the wider Sodexo business. We are committed to growing our presence in justice services globally so it is important we have a single brand identity where we operate.
"I am confident the re-naming of Kalyx to Sodexo Justice Services is a positive step forward – both in terms of growing our global presence in justice services and raising awareness of the Sodexo brand and the breadth of our business."
