Sodexo celebrates new term with host of contract wins

Sodexo has announced the signing of a host of key contract wins, worth over £13million in total turnover.
The contracts, spread across higher education, further education, independent and state sectors, include Wales' largest further education college at Coleg Gwent, Reading Blue Coat School, including a shop facility, and East Durham Further Education College. Recently, many Sodexo contracts have bucked nationwide trends, with increased uptake across the portfolio. Sodexo's menu offers in the education sector aim to make lunchtime enjoyable, whilst educating customers to choose a healthy, balanced meal. Other new wins include: Merton house - Independent Primary School Reading School - Independent Secondary School Exeter Royal Academy for Deaf Education - Independent Secondary School Wimbledon Girls High School - Girls Day School Trust - Independent Secondary School Avon Valley College - State Secondary St Paul's School for Girls - State Secondary St James Senior School - Independent Secondary Q3 Academy School - State Secondary Greenwich College - Further education Carl Morris, sales director, Sodexo Education, said: "We are pleased to have secured these key contracts and are delighted to be able to build on the success of last year where we secured significant new business. We are thrilled that the trend is continuing and more clients in the sector are choosing Sodexo not only to provide food but also support services, and are looking forward to an equally successful 2009."
