Abstract
Sodexo has appointed Jim Norris as executive head chef for Directors Table; the company's fine dining division for corporate clients in London.
Norris joins Sodexo from Green and Fortune, where as executive head chef at North London arts centre Kings Place, he ran the 140 cover Rotunda restaurant and bar, the Green and Fortune café, and a variety of events spaces for up to 1500 people.
Prior to this, Norris was executive head chef for Searcys at international law firm Allen & Overy for six years; overseeing a 2,000 cover staff restaurant, 14 exceptional quality private client dining rooms, 100 conference suites, an Italian-style Trattoria and bar, vending services, and a large events space. He also held responsibility for Searcys' satellite unit at the firm's Canary Wharf offices.
He will now report to Directors Table business director James Greetham, whose appointment to this newly created role was announced by Sodexo in November.
Norris said: "I am passionate about food and love experimenting with new produce, flavours and methods of cooking. I have forged strong relationships with many top suppliers and hope to develop new ones within Sodexo's business. I am looking forward to working with James to enhance Directors Table's reputation as the premium catering provider in the City, and to enthusing and supporting our talented chefs." James Greetham continued: "Jim is a first rate chef who champions great food and service, and who is committed to sourcing local, sensitively grown produce. I have no doubt that with his drive and enthusiasm; he will make a significant difference to Directors Table."
