Abstract
The Slow Food Market is set to return to the capital for the May Day bank holiday weekend.
The market, supported by Slow Food UK, will be situated at the Southbank Centre and will offer visitors over 30 stalls of fresh and preserved foods, as well as sustainably produced craft products – sourced both locally and countrywide. The Slow Food Movement believes that the food people eat should taste good; that it should be produced in a clean way that does not harm the environment, animal welfare or health; and that food producers should receive compensation for their work. Stall holders include Gourmet Mushroom (UK) Ltd, Farmstead Cheese, Richard Haward's Oysters and Born and Bread Bakery. Weblink: www.southbankcentre.co.uk
