22nd Aug 2008 - 00:00
Abstract
Schools are being invited to take part in the Pritchitt challenge, where pupils will be set a task of designing the best poster for promoting the health benefits of drinking milk.
Candidates must keep in mind throughout the competition why it is important to drink milk everyday. Teachers will then choose the top three posters to represent their school. Schools interested in taking part in the competition can download their free application pack from www.pritchitts.com A total of £1000 of sports equipment is up for grabs for the winning school, along with £500 worth of sports equipment awarded to the two runners up. Simon Muschamp, head of marketing at Pritchitts, explained the importance of today's milk: "Milk has played an essential part of the human diet for thousands of years, yet today, we struggle to get children to appreciate what milk and other healthier eating choices can do for them." He went on to explain his reasons for introducing this challenge: "We've launched this competition in order to help teachers stimulate children's interest in drinking milk, playing sport and being healthy." Pritchitts is a foodservice dairy supplier.
