ParentMail, a leading school-to-home communication and payments service and a LACA Business Partner, was one of only two companies to be highly commended at the recent eCommerce Awards ceremony.
ParentMail was a finalist for the ‘eCommerce Innovation’ category, with its new ParentMail 2 service that includes a module to help schools collect and manage dinner money.
It was highly commended in its category and only one other company was given this honour throughout the ceremony.
Geoff Jones, director at ParentMail said: “To be ‘highly commended’ at an award ceremony as well-renowned as the eCommerce Awards is such great testimony to ParentMail.
“There was some extremely tough competition from high profile retailers in our category, including Carphone Warehouse and Cloggs; so as new kids on the block we are absolutely delighted to have been commended.”
He said ParentMail 2, the service that earned the accolade, was a first in the education sector.
“It gives parents a single account, which is accessible online or via a free mobile app, where they can deal with and keep on top of all their child’s school and extra-curricular activities.
“They can link to any school, club or nursery that their child attends and receive information, pay for items, top-up dinner money and provide consent at the press of a button.”
The annual eCommerce Awards celebrate the UK's leading presence in ecommerce excellence, recognising and celebrating the outstanding achievements and innovation of companies and organisations that are driving the eCommerce industry.
