Next generation of hospitality workers set for Hotelympia ‘inspiration’

Abstract
The next generation of hospitality workers visiting the 2010 Hotelympia show will be offered valuable advice, knowledge and insight as inspirational industry figureheads take to the stage covering all hospitality bases.
Chris Galvin, chef patron, Galvin Restaurants is one of the four-strong chef panel of experts, with Shaun Rankin, head chef at Bohemia Bar & Restaurant, Michael Godfrey, executive head chef at Bekynton, Eton College and Tim Payne, head chef at The Paradise By Way of Kensal Green. The Hotelympia Inspiration Team covers all hospitality bases: Dr Rebecca Hawkins representing sustainability Sandra Russell, head of catering, Warwickshire County Council on public sector catering World Barista Champion Gwilym Davies flying the flag for the coffee community Co-founder of Hotel du Vin and owner of Hotel TerraVina Gerard Basset on wine Andrew McKenzie, MD at The Vineyard as master hotelier David Russell, Russell Partnership, discussing food and delivery for 2012 Olympics Billy Waters from Yo! Sushi lending his IT expertise Vincent McKevitt, Boss for Tossed representing entrepreneurs everywhere Anne Pierce MBE, CEO, Springboard spearheading careers Stephanie Briggs director of design for Malmaison and Hotel du Vin on hand as 'design guru' Chris Galvin explained why he was keen to get involved: "I believe it is very important for the younger generation to visit Hotelympia, I've been going to the show since I was a teenager and it's provided me with a great deal of inspiration over the years. There is so much to learn and with the exciting new features at the 2010 show, it is sure to be an invaluable, inspirational experience. I encourage my staff, both in the kitchen and front of house to visit Hotelympia to encounter industry innovation and come back to work and put into practice."
