New managing director for Compass Group Ireland

28th Mar 2011 - 00:00
Abstract
Compass Group UK & Ireland has appointed Fiacra Nagle as managing director for Compass Group Ireland.
He replaces Gaétan de L'Hermite, who has taken up an exciting new role as director of strategic development for Compass Group's emerging markets in Asia. The company says Nagle brings a wealth of commercial and catering experience, having held a variety of leadership positions across varying sectors. Before joining Compass, Nagle was commercial director of ODC Group, the owner of the UK's two largest on-demand printing brands: Prontaprint and Kall Kwik. Until 2008 he was CEO of O'Briens sandwich Bars and was instrumental in growing the company into Ireland's leading branded franchise business with 300 stores worldwide. Prior to this, he spent 15 years in international banking and project finance, latterly as head of telecom finance for KBC Bank. Fiacra Nagle has been a board member of the Irish Franchise Association and an active member of Retail Excellence Ireland. Commenting on his appointment, Compass Group UK & Ireland's group managing director Ian Sarson said: "I am delighted to welcome Fiacra to the business. He comes to us with a deep understanding of the Irish economy and the industry and I feel sure that under his leadership our business will continue to grow through providing great service to our clients." Nagle said he was thrilled to have the opportunity to take up this leadership position within Compass. "We've got a strong and well established team in Ireland and I'm really looking forward to immersing myself in the business and maximising the opportunities available to develop the business further."
