New Chairman for Institute of Hospitality

Andrew Lockwood FIH, Associate Dean and Forte Professor at the University of Surrey, has been elected as the new Chairman of the Institute of Hospitality's Executive Council.
Lockwood, who also heads the division of hospitality and tourism, will be responsible for the strategy and management of the Institute's activities. The newly appointed Chairman has taken over Peter Bramich FIH – Managing Director of the Deans Place Country Hotel and Restaurant in Alfriston, East Sussex. Institute of Hospitality Chief Executive Philippe Rossiter FIH commented on the appointment: "Professor Lockwood's wide range of senior contacts within all sectors of hospitality, and this particular interest and expertise in quality and leadership issues, make him ideally equipped to help the Institute achieve its ambitious goals over the next couple of years."
