NACC Training & Development Forum offers cooking demonstrations
Abstract
The NACC Training & Development Forum will have five cooking demonstrations to offer attendees tips, skills and knowledge on ingredients at the East Midlands Conference Centre, Nottingham 9-11 October 2019.

The cookery demonstrations will be from Bidfood, Essential Cuisine, HB Ingredients, Robot Coupe and the NACC Care Chef of the Year 2019 winner.

Wayne Wright, Bidfood UK development chef, will show guests how to provide nutritious meals that reduce food waste. Food waste is a growing concern as an area the size of china is used to grow food that is never eaten.

Robin Dudley, business development chef for Essential Cuisine, will explore healthy dishes using British-made stocks and gravies.

Sam Rain, development chef at HB Ingredients and Preston Walker the director at Oak House Residential Home will demonstrate ‘appetising’ healthcare meals and desserts. They will aim to show time saving tips and methods of ‘enhancing’ the overall healthcare dining experience.

Jamie Clews, Robot Coupe key account manager, will highlight some ideas on how to prepare snacks. Attendees will learn how to boost hydration through snacks and they will have the opportunity to try some samples.

Martin McKee won the Care Chef of the Year 2019 and he will present his winning dishes. This includes his main and desert from the competition that took place on 5 June.
