London sous chef named 'Employee of the Year'

21st Dec 2007 - 00:00
Abstract
Contractor Charlton House has named Sandra Thrower, sous chef at Tube Lines, this year's 'Employee of the Year'.
Thrower, who has worked for Charlton House since March 2004, won the coveted title because of her outstanding performance. The chef was singled out from 1,750 Charlton House employees nationwide. Megan Jude, head facilities at Tube Lines, commented: "Sandra has been the anchor of the team for the past three years, supporting both of our sites when required and stepping into whatever role is required…she's good with the customers and staff." The winning chef was awarded an engraved plaque, a bottle of champagne and £500 worth of Marks & Spencer vouchers at a surprise award ceremony held on the roof terrace at Tube Lines in Canary Wharf earlier this week.
